U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell made no commitment regarding a statement by Pakistani officials that they will only allow multinational forces into their country to assist the attack on terrorism if Israel and India are not involved. Speaking on CNN’s “Late Edition,” Powell said he understood Pakistan’s sensitivities, but “at the end of the day, we will do what’s appropriate and necessary.”
