Justice William O. Douglas of the United States Supreme Court was named today to receive Yeshiva University’s annual Morris Morgenstern Award which will be presented at the University’s Charter Day Dinner to be held November 12 at the Hotel Astor.
Justice Douglas will receive the award for “his outstanding contributions in furthering humanitarian principles and brilliant espousal of our democratic way of life.” Mrs. Eleanor Roosevelt was last year’s recipient of the award.
