The U.S. Supreme Court today issued an order refusing to reconsider its April 18 decision upholding the constitutionality of a “group libel” law of the state of Illinois.

The Illinois law forbids the libelling of citizens because of race, color, or creed. The Supreme Court seldom reconsiders a case after a decision is handed down.
