Plans are being advanced here for an early resumption of the flow of free United States Government surplus food supplies for Israel ### through Hadassah, it was learned today from Department of Agriculture source. This program was suspended for Israel on March 28 1954.
Included in the gift food will be butter cheese, cottonseed oil, shortening and other staples. The program to help the world’s underprivileged by giving surplus American food through American voluntary agencies was authorized by Section 416 of the Agriculture Act of 1955.
