Col. Josiah Wedgwood, Laborite Member of Parliament, Last night urged the State Department to approach the British Government to seek the opening of Palestine for Jewish refugees. He addressed an audience of 1,800 at a reception for him sponsored by Hadassah and the Zionist Organization of America at Temple Emanuel. The address was his last to a Zionist rally before sailing for England Wednesday on the President Roosevelt. Dr. Stephen S. Wise, president of the Z.O.A. presided. Mrs. Moses P. Epstein, president of Hadassah was another speaker. Resolutions were adopted urging Britain to open Palestine’s doors to refugees and asking the United States to seek British cooperation in settling Jews
