U.S. Visa Office Returns to Paris

The visa department of the American Consulate has been moved back to Paris from Bordeaux, to which it had been evacuated at the outset of the war, it was learned today. The step was greeted with satisfaction by refugees who are prospective emigrants to the United States, and refugee-aid organizations. Transfer of the office to Bordeaux had involved added expenditures and difficulties for visa applicants.
