“Out of the depths–The Saga of Soviet Jewry,” described as “relating the epic story of Russia’s Jews and their heroic struggle for freedom and redemption from the turn of the century to the present day,” will be presented Nov. 20 at Madison Square Garden. Presented by the United Jewish Appeal, it will be the first UJA “Night of Stars” to depart from the variety-show format. The production will feature top stars backed by the 100-voice Zamir Chorale.
