Ukrainian President Viktor Yuschenko will visit Israel next month. Yuschenko during the visit will call on Israel to recognize the 1932-33 famine in Ukraine as an act of genocide against Ukrainian nation, a member of his administration told JTA. Yuschenko, who is expected to arrive Nov. 14, also will hold talks with Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on Ukraine-Israel economic ties. His three scheduled state visits to Israel in 2005-06 were postponed due to what administration spokespeople said were scheduling conflicts.
