While a government representative sat quietly on the platform sanctioning the meeting, Student Vacbalek, representing Czecho-Slovakia at the conference here of Ruthenian and Ukrainian students, turned the meeting into a violent anti-Semitic session. Vacbalek called for an open fight of the students against Jews, declaring the Jews to be “human parasites” and the worst enemies of the country.”

Dr. Beskid, who presented government greetings to the students, raised no objections to the anti-Semitic harangues. Jewish political groups intend to bring action against the students.
