The recommendation of the nine-member Credentials Committee will be voted on by the General Assembly next week. Sources here said today that they do not rule out an Arab attempt to challenge Israel’s credentials when the issue comes up for a vote.
Meanwhile, in another development here today, Secretary General Javier Perez de Cuellar recommended that the mandate of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon be extended for another six months when the current mandate expires on October 19.
