Under the auspices of the Jewish National Fund Council, Zionist groups here united to hold a Herzl Memorial meeting on Monday evening, July 25, at the Philadelphia-Byron Hall.
Joseph H. Ehrlich, president of the Zionist Organization of Detroit, is to preside. The principal Yiddish address is to be delivered by Leon Kay, Jewish National Fund chairman. Mrs. Ehrlich will speak on “The Tree Fund of the National Fund.” Jeremiah Haggai will speak in the name of Hashomer Hatzoir.
Out-of-town speakers will include Dr. Bernard Heller, director of the Hillel Foundation at the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, and Rabbi Joshua S. Sperka of Mt. Clemens. The Haskarah will be chanted by Rev. H. H. Rosenfeld, cantor of Congregation B’nai Moshe.
