Two hundred representatives of work committees from various parts of the country staged a demonstration here yesterday in front of the Knesset (Parliament) building, protesting against job dismissals and calling on the Government to provide work for the jobless immediately. The demonstration was decided upon two weeks ago at a meeting of work committees in Tel Aviv, organized by left-wing elements.
While the Parliament building was being picketed here, about 50 men demonstrated in Haifa. The Haifa pickets were former employes of the Jewish National Fund who protested against dismissals and heavy work norms set up by the JNF.
