The 1962-63 United Appeal here, to be launched in September, has set a goal totaling $7,005,437, it was announced today by Mark Upson, general chairman of the drive. The campaign will be carried on intensively for eight weeks, he said.
The new goal is $261,212 higher than the $6,744,225 raised last year, Mr. Upson said. The 1961 goal was $6,665,600. Of the increase, he explained, $61,000 is due to the inclusion of six agencies in the campaign for the first time.
