United Hias Service announced today the resignation of its executive director, Arthur Greenleigh. At the same time, it was announced that James P. Rice, former director in Germany for the Joint Distribution Committee, would be acting executive director. Mr. Greenleigh served as the first administrative head of the United Hias Service since its formation in August 1954, through the merger of the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, United Service for New Americans and the migration services of the JDC.
