The United Jewish Appeal today announced the establishment of a 1951 National Campaign Cabinet composed of 35 prominent community leaders to serve as a “high command” for the planning and conducting of this year’s drive.
Emphasizing that the group consists “of the ablest and most devoted Jewish leaders in the country,” Edward M.M. Warburg, general chairman of the U.J.A., said that its members have been drawn from 27 key communities. The National Campaign Cabinet will meet in New York this weekend to review plans for the immediate mobilization of the country’s Jewish communities, Mr. Warburg said.
