The American Jewish Conference will ask the United Nations to grant a hearing at their San Francisco conference on April 25th to representative bodies of the Jewish people on measures vital to their postwar rehabilitation, it was announced today, following an all-day meeting of the Interim Committee of the Conference at the Hotel Biltmore.
The Conference will request the United Nations to recognize the justice of the Jewish claim for representation on all agencies that may be established to deal with postwar reconstruction and organization. Among the matters that will be brought to the attention of the San Francisco meeting is the proposal for an International Bill of Rights.
If the San Francisco conference takes up the question of mandated territories, the American Jewish Conference in cooperation with the Jewish Agency of Palestine – will ask the United Nations to reaffirm Jewish rights to Palestine which were recognized by the League of Nations, it announced.
