A $3,750,000 goal has been set for the 1948 United Jewish Appeal in Canada, according to an announcement made here today by Hyman Grover, national U.P.A. chairman.
Mr. Grover, who is also treasurer of the Zionist Organization of Canada, declared that the goal had been set in response to a call by Kliezer Kaplan, treasurer of the Jewish Agency; who recently visited Montreal to help meet the Agency’s large scale program for immigration, colonization and security. Grover expressed confidence that Canadian Jewry will meet the challenge and reach the quota set.
