Jacob Stein, president of the United Synagogue of America, said today that the 3,000 delegates at the group’s biennial convention which begins Sunday in Kiamesha Lake will discuss intermarriage, halacha and an analysis of the Conservative movement’s approach to Jewish law. Delegates will be called upon to review the basic function and structure of the modern synagogue, Stein said.
