The United Synagogue of America announced today its support of the project to send non-political greeting cards on the occasion of the Jewish High Holy Days to synagogues in the Soviet Union. Rabbi Bernard Segal, executive director of the organization, urged all branches, including the religious schools to participate. The project was initiated last year by the Jewish Community Council of Washington. The Council has made available a list of all the known synagogues in the Soviet Union and their addresses.
