Commenting on a report in the New York Times yesterday that unnamed Jewish leaders in America had come to the conclusion that partition was the only possible solution of the Palestine problem, Meir Grossman and Col. Morris J. Mendelsohn, president and chairman of the executive, respectively, of the United Zionists-Revisionists of America, declared partition “is not a practical solution or even a tangible possibility.”
The joint statement continued: “The advocates of partition have fallen into the trap of British propaganda which aims to present the issue as a conflict between the Jews and the Arabs, while in truth it is a conflict between the Jews and the British. The Arab puppets are just being manipulated by Britain as pawns in a game of power politics.”
