A plea for “unity in fact as well as unity of purpose” in order to make greater aid for the Jewish homeland possible was made to 50 members of the Zionist Organization of America Administrative Council today by President E.I. Kaufman.
Greater and more representative strength must be obtained before the organization can carry out resolutions adopted by the Pittsburgh convention and factional quarrels must be forgotten if membership is to be increased, Dr. Kaufman told the first formal council meeting. He predicted a membership of 150,000 could be obtained with unified effort.
