Mrs. Charles Hymes, president of the National Council of Jewish Women, received today the University of Minnesota’s Outstanding Achievement Award at the university’s annual College of Education Alumni Association meeting. Cited for her “national leadership in lay religious work, ” Mrs. Hymes was honored for her service to the advancement of public education and of humanitarian causes.
