tee to investigate Nazi propaganda in this country.

“The testimony before the Committee already made public,” said Mr. Untermyer, “could well have justified an invitation to the Ambassador to remain in Germany, instead of which he returned here yesterday, had his photograph taken, and, contrary to all diplomatic rules, gave out a most extraordinary propagandist interview on the subject of the world boycott.”

Complete annihilation of the Jews is the avowed object of Germany, Mr. Untermyer stated.

“Could anything be more utterly silly or more thoroughly German,” he asked, “than his (Luther’s) statement that ‘this is not a boycott against Germany but against all mankind?’

“What does he mean by saying it is a boycott against the entire world? On the contrary, it is the desperate effort of the entire world to defend civilization against German barbarity and against the bloody regime of the murderous band now in power.”

Mr. Untermyer asked if Dr. Luther believes the world boycott against Germany is a boycott against the entire world, “What does he say of Germany’s boycott against every Jewish merchant, shopkeeper and workman?”
