Samuel Untermyer, president of the Non-sectarian Anti-Nazi League to Champion Human Rights, yesterday began an investigation of Nazi propaganda activities which are designed to incite race hatred against the Jews.
Stickers, profusely distributed over the city, urge the boycott of Gentiles. Artistically designed, the stickers bear large black print reading: “Buy Jewish—Boycott Gentiles.” That there be no doubt as to the authenticity of the stickers their makers have inscribed the star of David in the center of which is the law of Moses, and other trappings symbolic of Jewish traditions appear in the stamp.
“I intend locating the source of this false and insidious propaganda,” Mr. Untermyer declared yesterday. “These stickers have been pasted profusely through New Jersey particularly and in New York with the intention of bringing hatred down upon the Jew.
“These stickers, together with other samples of Nazi propaganda will be called to the attention of the Committee of Congress that is expected to be authorized at the forthcoming session to make a thorough investigation of Nazi activities in this country.
