War veterans, policemen and civilian members of local organizations gathered at Temple Emanu-El here to pay their respects to the memory of the late Adolph Joseph Lasker, rabbi of the temple at the time of his death.
A bronze plaque, funds for which were raised largely by members of American Legion posts in Nassau County, was unveiled by the Rev. Carl S. Kirkegaard, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church, Rabbi Lasker’s successor as chaplain of Lynbrook Post of the American Legion.
