It is impossible to ask an Orthodox Jew to change his religious views and work on Saturday, was the decision of the Labor Office administration. The Frankfurt Labor Office had refused unemployment support to an Orthodox Jew who would not accept duties which would compel him to work on Saturday.

Upon appeal to high authorities in the Labor Office, the Frankfort office was ordered to pay the back support due and to continue the unemployment dole.
