The creation of a second Jewish autonomous region in the Ukraine, to be composed of the new Jewish settlements, was urged in a resolution adopted by the annual conference of the Ukrainian Ozet, the society for settling Jews on the land. The conference concluded its sessions here yesterday.
Reports submitted to the conference showed that the position of the new settlers is not entirely satisfactory, due to the lack of houses and medical assistance.
