Leon Dulzin, Jewish Agency Treasurer, who is heading a mixed Israeli-American educational mission currently visiting Latin American countries to study means to strengthen Jewish education, declared here that diaspora communities must join with Israel in helping to solve Israel’s pressing problems. He spoke at a luncheon meeting of the Latin American Jewish Congress at which Gregorio Faigon was installed as chairman of the LAJC. Other speakers were Samuel Mendel of Montevedeo, president of the Central Jewish Committee of Uruguay; Gil Sinay, president of the Representative Committee of Chilean Jewry; and Dr. Benno Milnitzku, president of the Jewish Confederation of Brazil.
