Leaders of various communities throughout the country are joining in asking the public to respond promptly and generously to the current Holy Day appeal of the Jewish Consumptives’ Relief Society. Due to the business depression, the income of the Institution has fallen off sharply. As the Jewish Consumptives’ Relief Society has always been supported by voluntary contributions, the curtailment in its income is a matter of grave concern.

The Jewish Consumptives’ Relief Society, the largest institution of its kind in the world, has been established for over twenty-six years. In this period of time it has treated thousands of men and women stricken by tuberculosis. These patients have come from all parts of the country and have been treated without charge.
