The World League for the Observance of the Sabbath has submitted a memorandum to the World Zionist Organization, requesting that it prohibit the breaking of the Sabbath on Jewish National Fund ground, in the contracts entered into by the Jewish National Fund with settlers.
The memorandum points out that at a time when economic conditions the world over have impaired the sanctity of the Sabbath, Palestine is the only land where Sabbath observance meets with no serious difficulties. The demand of the religious Jews, regardless of their political outlook is therefore the firmer, says the memorandum.
