Unknown vandals again desecrated the memorial to Jewish victims of Nazism in Eesen and removed the Star of David from it, it was reported here today. Local police offered a reward of 1,000 marks for information leading to the apprehension of the culprits.
When the memorial was desecrated last year, the Star of David was returned to the Jewish community by mail. This time is was found by a workman amidst debris in an adjourning street, the report said.
