Vandals raided the unused synagogue of Congregation Mishkan Israel here, and scattered religious articles about the pews and floor. The intruders ripped prayer books in the sanctuary. Residents of Elizabeth complained to police today after the vandalism was discovered, and the police department gave assurances that it will attempt to trace the culprits and bring them to justice.
