Jews who fought for Rumania in the World War or the Balkan Wars will be exempt from the revision of Jewish citizenships, it was understood today. Under regulations expected to be published within the next few days, these veterand will not be required to present any documents attesting to the legality of their citizenship, except military papers. Pending publication of the regulations implementing the recent royal decree, revision of citizenships has been held up.

Meanwhile, the Chamber of Commerce has decided not to register firms belonging to foreign citizens. Rumanian Jews whose citizenships are found invalid will no longer be allowed to own enterprises.

The Syndicate of Rumanian Journalists suspended Jewish members pending revision of their citizenships. The suspension applies only to journalists who joined the union after Dec. 1, 1919. An official announcement states that Jewish members will be reinstated only if their citizenship is found valid.
