Vice President Al Gore on Monday condemned as “cowardly” last Friday’s arson attacks against three synagogues in the Sacramento, Calif, area. “Hate crimes can not be tolerated,” Gore said in a statement. In a related development, the California state Assembly unanimously passed a resolution Monday that condemned the attacks.
