Vice-president Humphrey Stresses Need for Permanent Arab-israel Peace

Vice-President Humphrey was reported here today as having stressed the necessity for a permanent peace settlement between Israel and its Arab neighbors at a meeting which he had with leaders of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations prior to his entering the hospital for an operation.

The meeting took place in Mr. Humphrey’s office and was described as “most friendly.” The Jewish delegation was led by Mr. William Wexler, president of B’nai B’rith.
