Victor S. Riesenfeld, prominent local businessman, has been appointed chairman of the 30th annual appeal of the Federation of Jewish Philanthropies of New York, and will direct the activities of 10,000 volunteer workings in trades, boroughs and women’s groups, it was announced today by Norman S. Goetz, president of the Federation. Through the campaign, which will get under way in mid-September, the Federation will seek to raise the funds to maintain and operate during the current year 116 affiliated medical, health and social welfare institutions and (##)encies.
