The Jewish Community of Vienna today protested to Vienna municipal authorities against the proposed showing of “Oliver Twist” here. The British movie is scheduled to be premiered in this city on Friday.
Municipal authorities decided, following the protests, to exhibit the film tomorrow to a restricted audience which will include a member of the local Culture Department, as well as Jewish representatives. The preview audience will decide on the question of releasing or withholding the film, it was announced.
