The Board of Directors of the Vienna Kehillah, together with the Executive Committee of the Union of Austrian Jews, paid a visit to the bedside of Chancellor Seipel, who is now fighting for his life as the result of an attack made upon him by a Catholic Communist. The visitors paid tribute to Seipel’s fairness in dealing with the Jews, and conveyed to the Chancellor the wishes of Austrian Jewry for his speedy recovery.
Prayers have been offered in the synagogues here for the recovery of Chancellor Seipel.
