Intense alarm was caused throughout the whole of Vienna by the mobilization of the entire police force in order to meet the emergency of a sudden Nazi march intended as a protest against the so-called anti-German world campaign by Jews. The whole of the Jewish quarter has been cordoned off by police in order to prevent attacks.

For the first time, an Austrian court has acceded to Nazi objections raised against the presence of a Jewish woman judge during the hearing of a case against Nazis responsible for throwing tear-bombs during a recent celebration. The court agreed to the exclusion from the bench of Kaethe Leister, on the ground that she was of Jewish origin, although officially of no denomination, and not a registered member of the Jewish community.
