The police of Vienna and Munich were in receipt of information that several Ukrainian officers, formerly associated with Petlura, are preparing to assassinate Sholom Schwartzbard.
An inquiry made by the police led to no discovery. It is assumed that this rumor was spread in order to extort money from Jews.
