The cornerstone for a new Jewish culture center was laid today in Vienna at the site of a synagogue burned by the Nazis in 1938. Participating in the ceremony were Culture Minister Heinrich Drimmel, Municipal Councillor Maria Jadobi and Dr; Feldsberg, president of the Vienna Jewish Community. The 12,000,000 schilling ($480,000) cost of the center, which will be used for the education of Jewish youth, was contributed by the state under a 1960 compensation law.
