Jewish workers in the tailoring industry here won an eight-hour working day and the recognition of their union, following a successful strike which was concluded today.
No increase of wages was demanded. The union leaders pointed out that the strict observance of the eight-hour day would enable the unemployed workers to secure work. Non-union members are to be barred from the shops.
