Dr. Wolfgang von Weisl, who was released from government detention yesterday after completing the 18th day of a 28-day hunger strike, announced at his home in Gedera today that he will continue the strike until the 28-day period has expired. He was then moved to Hadassah Hospital in Tel Aviv.
His statement said that the strike was aimed at securing the release of all “innocent detainees” and not merely his own freedom. He called on the Jewish community to continue its efforts to force the government to free all those illegally detained.
