Stabilization of political conditions on the Arabian peninsula is expected to result from an agreement between Ibn Saud. leader of the Wahabis, and Imam Yechia, the Sultan of Yemen, despatches received here from Mecca state.

Ibn Saud received a representative of Yechia in Mecca. It was learned that the discussion of a peace treaty between Yemen and the Wahabis will have good results. This development of the relations between the two Arab rulers has a particular political significance in view of the failure of Sir Gilbert Clayton’s recent mission to bring about amicable relations between the Wahabis and the Yemenites.
