Strong measures of defense are now being taken by the Iraq military authorities to counteract an attack by the Wahabis on the Iraq frontier.

Twenty thousand Wahabis are said to be concentrated at the frontier. It is stated that the march which was ordered by Ibn Saud, Sultan of the Wahabis, will be in the nature of a “punitive expedition” on Iraq and Koweit as a result of the protest of Ibn Saud against the annihilation of a Wahabi village by the British air force.

The village was attacked, it is stated, when the aeroplanes were in pursuit of Wahabi raiders. Three British battleships are standing by in Koweit Bay.
