That character building agencies such as Jewish Centers be enabled to provide for the unemployed who are not able to pay dues by securing a larger paying membership among those of the community who are in a position to contribute was urged by Bernard B. Given of Syracuse at the meeting of the Executive Board of the New York State Federation of Young Men’s Hebrew Associations and Young Women’s Hebrew Associations and Kindred Organizations at the Hotel Syracuse.

Supreme Court Justice Samuel J. Harris of Buffalo, Albert Rosenthal of Johnstown, president of the Federation; Dr. George Bacharach of Gloversville, secretary; Tobias Roth of Rochester and Dr. Philip Goldstein of New York City, field secretary, participated in the discussions.
