Three research scholarships for Jewish scholars under the age of 30, engaged in any branch of Jewish study, will be awarded by the Moritz and Charlotte Warburg Memorial Fund Committee, it was announced here today.
The $1,200 a year grants will be given usually to holders of a Ph.D. degree from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem, but those who hold degrees from similar institutions will also be considered. Although the scholarships will normally be granted for two years, certain exceptions may be granted for continuation of the award, while in other cases exceptions may be made in the educational background required of the recipient. The granting of scholarships will be started in April, 1946.
