Threat of a Jewish rebellion if Great Britain carried out proposals to create an Arab-controlled state in Palestine was voiced today by Isaac Gruenbaum, member of the Jewish Agency’s executive committee, in an address opening a conference of the General Zionist “A” group here. “The Jews,” Mr. Gruenbaum declared, “will never consent to participate in an Arab Government. We will proclaim a rebellion against it.”

The conference called upon the Jewish delegation at London to quit the Palestine talks and urged the Jewish National Council to implement the manifesto proclaiming Palestine Jewry’s new unity, adopted March 1 by an emergency meeting attended by representatives of all parties and institutions.

The Jerusalem military court today sentenced a Jew named Shlomo Mizrachi to one month in prison for possession of a revolver. Mizrachi, who had been arrested Feb. 28, testified that he had picked up the rusty revolver from the street.
