The sum of 2,000 zlotys was assigned by the Board of the Kehillah to relieve the situation of several hundred Jewish refugees and chlutzim from Poland, who are now in distressful circumstances in Vienna. The Board has also assigned a sum of 3,000 zlotys for the Yiddish schools in Poland who face the danger of closing their doors owing to a lack of funds.
