A demonstrative crowd of right-wing Zionists today showered High Commissioner Sir Arthur Grenfell Wauchope with leaflets and voiced protests against the Government’s policy and the proposed representative legislative council.
The incident, the second hostile demonstration against Sir Arthur in this all-Jewish city within a month, occurred as he was leaving the city hall after visiting Mayor Meier Dizengoff.
Police arrested five members of the Brith Trumpeldor, Zionist Revisionist uniformed youth organization, including Shalom Rosenfeld and M. Katzenelbogen.
Residents of this city booed Sir Arthur on Feb. 23 as he left dedication exercises of a new museum at which he had delivered an address. He had a proclamation read ordering the crowd to disperse.
